Northern California Return to Play Plan

May 14, 2021

The NCRFU Executive has asked Division Coordinators to touch base with each of the clubs in their respective division, to see how the club is doing, whether it is engaged in any activity and what the club’s interest is in Return to Play (R2P).

Each division coordinator will connect with each club in their division by telephone by Friday, May 21.

CURRENT ACCOMMODATIONS

NCRFU Clubs may engage in one team v one team "friendlies" when NCRFU Return to Play requirements are met, which means that all R2P criteria are to be complete and verified by the NCRFU. Only then will the Northern California Rugby Referees Society assign referees to that match.

TO MEET THE NCRFU RETURN TO PLAY (R2P) REQUIREMENTS

Clubs need to register with USA Rugby to be in good standing and for coverage by USA Rugby Insurances. There is a requirement for each club to have a minimum of 15 players and an L200 Certified Coach.

Clubs will need to get a club officer to verify compliance of state and home county COVID guidelines. Clubs will then need to submit a Compliance Verification form to the NCRFU Scheduling Secretary, John Compaglia - compagliarugby@aol.com.

Only after the Scheduling Secretary provides COMPLIANCE CONFIRMATION will your club be confirmed in good standing, the NCRRS will be notified, and can then assign a referee for the game.

NCFRU TO SUSPEND 2020-2021 CLUB DUES

The NCRFU Executive unanimously confirmed, at the recommendation of the Finance Sub-Committee, to suspend all NCRFU club and NCRFU player dues for 2020-21. This was on the basis that a) the new registration year (2021-22) commences September 1, 2021, and b) USA Rugby dues are still in effect.
