2017 NCRFU Annual General Meeting Announced... Mark Your Calendars!
The Executive Committee of the Northern California Rugby Football Union has announced that the 2017 Annual General Meeting is scheduled for July 9, 2017 10:00AM at Life West Chiropractic College in Hayward, CA.
Below are the key dates and deadlines for the meeting... please read.
May 25th Deadline to notice the AGM (45 day) to member clubs
June 9th Deadline for Bylaw Changes (30 day) to the secretary
June 14th Deadline for agenda items and nominations of candidates (25 day) to the secretary
June 29th Deadline to have the agenda (10 day) to member clubs
July 7th Clubs to apply for which division(s) to compete in 2018
July 9th - Sunday NCRFU AGM 10am at Lifewest College. Hayward
October 27th Deadline for clubs to apply for which division(s) to compete in 2018
October 29th - Sunday NCRFU Fall Meeting 10am at Lifewest College. Hayward
Note: new clubs applications are considered at the AGM. Additional member clubs shall be elected to the Union by a majority of full members at a general meeting (Annual General Meeting) upon nomination by a member club and a second by another member club.
No additional club shall be admitted after the annual general meeting and must make application to the union for nomination by a member club in good standing at the next full membership meeting (Annual General Meeting).
The 2017 AGM will have election of officers and divisional reps.
Clubs will send to the secretary which Division(s) their clubs are entering for the 2018 season 48 hours prior to the AGM.
The AGM will be earlier this year prior to the start of the CIPP cycle, prior to congress meetings etc.
As provided for in the original 1978 bylaws (superseded in 2015) the Union will have a Fall Meeting in October to determine which division clubs are playing in and have competition schedules made available at that time as final.
10am meet, divisions discussion, agreed on competition policies and practices handbook, adjourn for lunch to allow the schedule to be produced, reconvene to ratify the final schedule and adjourn.
